Rack-Straps Return & Refund Policy: Hassle-Free Returns for Contractors

We stand behind every Rack-Strap® product we sell. If something isn’t right — wrong bracket size, wrong quantity, or simply not the right fit for your rack — we make returns straightforward. Here’s exactly how it works.

30-Day Return Window

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return any eligible item for a full refund or exchange. The clock starts when your shipment is marked delivered by the carrier.

Eligible vs. Non-Eligible Returns

✅ Eligible for Full Refund

  • Unused products in original packaging with all hardware included
  • Wrong item sent due to our fulfillment error (we cover return shipping)
  • Products with manufacturing defects (cracked hardware, damaged webbing from manufacturing)
  • Duplicate orders placed in error

⚠️ Eligible for Exchange or Store Credit Only

  • Wrong bracket size ordered — we’ll swap for the correct OD size at no restock fee (you pay return shipping)
  • Unused products with opened packaging but all components present

❌ Not Eligible for Return

  • Products that have been installed on a vehicle or show signs of use, wear, or field installation (bolt marks, strap tension marks)
  • Products returned after 30 days without prior written authorization
  • Products damaged by improper installation, overloading, chemical exposure, or UV degradation from outdoor storage
  • Custom or special-order items (non-standard colors, custom-length straps, or fleet-branded hardware)
  • Items returned without an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact us within 30 days of delivery via email at sales@rack-straps.com or call 800-886-4926 (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm CT).
  2. Provide your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for return.
  3. Receive your RMA number via email within 1 business day. Write this clearly on the outside of your return package.
  4. Ship your return to the address provided in the RMA confirmation. We recommend UPS or FedEx with tracking and insurance for hardware items.
  5. Refund processed within 5–7 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned merchandise.

Fleet and Bulk Order Returns

Fleet customers and those who purchased through our bulk ordering program should contact their account representative directly. Bulk orders of 10+ units may be subject to a 15% restocking fee for non-defective returns. Defective products in bulk orders are handled at no cost to the customer — we will arrange pickup and replacement.

Refund Method

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Credit card refunds typically post within 3–5 business days after processing. ACH/check payments for net-term fleet accounts are refunded via check within 10 business days.

Warranty Claims

Rack-Strap® products are warranted against manufacturing defects for 1 year from purchase date. Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, field damage, chemical exposure, or use beyond rated WLL. To submit a warranty claim, contact us with photos of the defect and your order number.
