Rack-Straps Accessibility Statement: Our Commitment to an Inclusive Website

Rack-Straps / Webb Capital Corp. is committed to ensuring that rack-straps.com is accessible to all users, including those with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities. We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Our Accessibility Goals

We design and maintain rack-straps.com with the following accessibility standards in mind:

  • Perceivable: All images include descriptive alt text. Product photos of Rack-Strap® hardware, mounting brackets, and installation diagrams include written descriptions to convey fitment and use information to screen reader users.
  • Operable: Our site navigation, product pages, and checkout process are keyboard-navigable without requiring a mouse. We avoid time-limited interactions without user control.
  • Understandable: We use clear, plain language in product descriptions and policy pages. Technical terms (such as Working Load Limit, OD pipe sizing, DOT cargo securement) are explained in context.
  • Robust: Our site is built on WooCommerce with semantic HTML5 markup compatible with current and future assistive technologies, including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, some areas of our site may not yet fully meet these standards, particularly:

  • Third-party embedded content (payment processing widgets, carrier tracking iframes) — these are governed by their respective providers’ accessibility practices
  • Some older product photography may have incomplete alt text descriptions — we are actively reviewing and updating these
  • PDF documents linked from technical specification pages may not be fully accessible — text alternatives are being developed

Our customer service team can read product specifications, pricing, and order status over the phone, and can process orders by phone for customers who cannot use the online checkout.
